Adam Tsutomu Oshiro, 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on April 27, 1931, in Wai'anae, Hawai'i, Adam was the fifth of eight siblings and raised by his parents Gana and Matsu (Isa) Oshiro of Aza Toguchi, Kitanakagusuku, Okinawa. Adam is survived by his daughter, Caroline Oshiro-Otsuka; son-in-law, Carl Otsuka; sons, Adam Oshiro, Jr., and Alan Oshiro; grandson, Cuyler Otsuka; and siblings, Brian Oshiro and Flora Nakasone.
He spent his career as an Electrical Technician with GTE Hawaiian Telephone, where he was known for his reliability, technical skill, and calm presence. His work supported Hawai'i's growing communications infrastructure during a transformative era, and he took great pride in serving his community through his craft.
Adam made an incredible life for his family. He was a man of simple, honest pleasures. He was the fisherman who knew the value of patience, and the man who was so handy he could fix anything in this house. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his pets.
He will be cremated, and in accordance with his wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are being handled by Care Cremation & Burial.
