Obituary

Agnieszka "Aga" Sikorska-Burchette, age 52, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025. A woman of deep faith, sharp intellect, and a famously warm heart, she leaves behind a legacy of love that stretched from the hills of Nevada back to her beloved roots in Poland. Born in Lublin, Poland, to Piotr and Stanislawa Sikorski, Aga grew up alongside her brother, Grzegorz. Her lifelong commitment to excellence was evident early on; she earned a Master's in Economics from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Poland and later a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of the People in the United States. On August 7, 1999, she married the love of her life, Joseph Burchette, in her hometown of Lublin-a partnership that eventually led her to become a proud U.S. Citizen in 2012. Professionally, Aga was a force of nature. As a Senior Credit Analyst at Barclays Bank, she was cherished by her colleagues and frequently honored for her dedication, most recently being named Top Performer of the Month and Year. Yet, if you asked Aga, she would tell you her greatest accomplishment was not found in a boardroom, but in being a devoted and loving mother to her wonderful son, Victor. Aga lived a life that was both simple and elegant. She appreciated things that were functional, honest, and "done the right way"-her way. She was a founding parishioner of St. John Paul II Catholic Church in Inspirada, where she lived out her faith through her daily Rosary for family and friends. She found peace in nature, whether hiking through quiet hills to escape the city noise or feeling the fresh ocean breeze at the beach. At home, Aga was a fantastic cook with a passion for Mexican food; she was a generous host who ensured no one ever left her house hungry. Above all, she was a dedicated communicator who spoke to her mother every single day and never missed a chance to send a funny message to a friend just to let them know she was thinking of them. Aga is survived by her husband, Joseph Burchette; her son, Victor Burchette in Henderson, NV; her parents, Piotr and Stanislawa Sikorski; and her brother, Grzegorz Sikorski in Lublin, Poland. She will be deeply missed by a vast network of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who became her extended family in Las Vegas and across the globe. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Sikorska-Burchette Family GoFundMe to support them during this difficult time: FOLLOW THIS LINK.
