Amanda Yee Yee
Bzdak
Apr 27, 1980 — Aug 4, 2023
Amanda Yee Yee Bzdak, 43, of Las Vegas, passed away on August 4, 2023. Amanda was born April 27, 1980 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to parents See Leong Thong & Mui Foong Soon. She grew up with her sisters Keiko Hunter and Mabel Thong. In 1998, she spent a year at Aberdeen University in Scotland and became a licensed Massage Therapist in Hawaii in 2003. Later she became a licensed Esthetician in Nevada in 2009. She also worked as a Club Card Lead at the Rio Hotel & Casino, but most recently was a homemaker. Amanda met and married the love of her life, Christian Bzdak on June 7, 1999 in Honolulu, HI.
Amanda absolutely loved Disney. She loved going to Disneyland where she could be a kid, put on Minnie's ears, and explore the parks, rides, and especially the food. She was a foodie. She loved experiencing new foods and loved food from everywhere. She loved Monopoly and collected the different versions of the game. Amanda loved animals and frequently donated to shelters or helped those with pets in need.
Amanda spoke 7 languages fluently and travel extensively around the world. Between growing up in Malaysia, going to school in Scotland, and living in the U.S., she acquired a unique American-English-Malay accent that would change depending on her mood. Mostly, it was an American accent. When she was angry, the Scottish accent would emerge. And when she went to Chinatown for food, the Malay accent surfaced. She recently discovered she loved to write. Many times, she would be found laughing almost hysterically from a scene or dialogue she wrote. She would try to describe it through her laughter which only made her laugh harder.
Amanda leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Christian Bzdak: parents, See Leong Thong (father), Mui Foong Soon (mother): and sisters, Keiko Hunter & Mabel Thong. Donations may be made in Amanda's honor though her passion and love for animals. Please donate to your local pet shelters and programs. Her three dogs were a great part of her life and meant the world to her. Her love for them made her want that same opportunity for other animals. It would have meant a great deal to her.
