Andrew Jackson Garcia (aka AJ/Andy) died peacefully at home September 5, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born July 9, 1948 on Maui to Florencio Garcia and Lydia Samonte, AJ proudly served in the US Army for 20 years. Afterwards, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Southern Illinois University and worked in private security services until retirement. As a faithful Christ follower, AJ leaves a legacy of love and laughter to his devoted wife, Judy Jean Garcia, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and six cherished siblings. Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City will host the funeral service Wednesday, November 19th at 1pm.
