Ariel Diestro Ampon, aged 53, passed away on August 13, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on July 13, 1972, Ariel's personality and warmth touched all who knew him. Known for his humor and generosity, he lived a life marked by duty and consideration for others.
Ariel embarked on a career in the hospitality industry after completing his education at Notre Dame of Greater Manila, New Era High School, and the National College of Business and Arts.
His career spanned several countries and prestigious establishments, including Westin Philippines Plaza, Westin Kuala Lumpur, Sofitel Philippines Plaza, Anantara Bangkok Riverside, Akaryn Hotel Group Bangkok, Oakwood Asia Pacific Singapore, Next Hotels Sydney, Howard Hospitality Group Cayman Islands, Dorm Ha Noi Vietnam, Kanuhura Maldives, Midcoast Hospitality Group, and Travel + Leisure Co.
Ariel was a passionate tennis player, which was one of his favorite hobbies. His love for the sport was only matched by his dedication to his career and his family.
He is survived by his loving children, Angelline, Angelo, and Angela; his parents, Norma and Alfredo; his siblings, Alan (Maybelle) and Aileen (Jonathan); his nephews, Adrian, Adam, Andrew, Antonio, and Andre; and his wife, Mellany Moises.
