Barry M. Beward, 50, of Las Vegas, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, devotion, and countless cherished moments that will be remembered forever.
Born on April 14, 1974, Barry's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to those he cherished and his incredible service to his country.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jung Beward, and their two children, Jessica and Jasmine Beward, who were the light of his life. Barry is also mourned by his brother, Randy Beward of Mifflintown, and his two sisters, Crystal Schoffstall of East Waterford, and Roseanna Sassaman of Mifflintown.
He was preceded in death by his father, Barry Lee Beward, and his mother, Carole Ann Swailes, both of whom remained in his heart and mind throughout his life.
Barry proudly served his country for twenty-one years in the United States Air Force, a commitment that shaped much of who he was. Following his military career, he continued his service by working at the VA Hospital for ten years, where his caring nature made a difference in the lives of many.
Outside of his work and service, Barry found immense joy in spending time with his family, enjoying the great outdoors, fishing, and watching sports. His sharp intelligence, boundless generosity, warm sense of humor, and outgoing personality made him not only a loving husband and father but also a friend to all who knew him. Barry's kindness was evident in every interaction and his ability to make people laugh and feel valued will be remembered forever.
A memorial service will be held privately, according to the family's wishes. Interment will take place at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on, cherished in the memories and hearts of those who loved him.
