Beatriz "Betty" Lopez died peacefully in her home in Las Vegas, NV on Sunday, July 21, 2024. She was 43.

Betty was born in Chula Vista, CA at Bayview Hospital to Ricardo and Maria Lopez on January 30, 1981. She was the second of five children. Betty was raised in San Diego, CA, attending Willow Elementary School, Juarez Lincoln Elementary, Finney Elementary, Montgomery Middle School ,and graduated from Montgomery High School. Betty was an active youth group member of El Arca Church, and spent her afternoons at the San Ysidro Teen Center during her youth.

Just out of high school, Betty met her husband Jose Salcedo, and they got married on November 17, 2000. Betty attended Southwestern College for a few years, and worked in telemarketing until moving from San Diego, CA to Las Vegas, NV in 2003. Shortly after moving to Las Vegas, Betty joined the team Zappos, working for their customer service team. Betty loved talking to customers and delivering an excellent online shopping experience. This Spring, Betty completed 20 years of employment at Zappos.

When she wasn't making customers happy, Betty loved being on the soccer fields cheering on her son, or on the volleyball courts rooting for her daughters. Betty was a member of the Las Vegas Breast Cancer Warriors. Every year, Betty looked forward to leading "Betty's Troopers" in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in San Diego, CA. Betty was an inspiration to many, and will always be remembered for her strength and resilience during life's many challenges.

Betty is survived by her husband Jose, her children, Jose (21), Kassandra (17), Isabella (16) and Yazmin (7). Her parents Ricardo and Maria Lopez, her siblings Ricardo, Jessica, Anthony and Gloria, several nieces and nephews, and three godchildren. Betty is now reunited with her son, Angel, and her grandparents in heaven.

To remember Betty, the family has organized a Celebration of Life, on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 3pm at Mosaic Church, located at 9220 Manhattan Rd. Henderson, NV 89074.
