Obituary

Carol Bott-Domanico, a vibrant and beloved member of the Visalia community, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Carol was born August 31, 1948 in Lansing, Michigan. Her life was a testament to her strength, resilience, and zest for life. In 1963, at the age of 15, she moved to California. She attended Tulare Western High School where she enjoyed student government, choir, basketball, and the social scene with many friends. Carol graduated from Tulare Western in 1966, but faithfully supported her class with helping to plan their reunions. After high school she subsequently spent over 50 fulfilling years in Visalia, where she built a life rich in connection and accomplishment. As a devoted single mother to her only daughter Staci, Carol balanced a remarkable career with unwavering dedication to her family of two. She built a legacy of 50 years in the hairdressing profession, cultivating lasting relationships with her clientele. Adding to her professional achievements, she enjoyed a successful career in real estate, spanning 30 years while leaving her mark on the Visalia landscape. A strong supporter of her community, Carol was also an active and dedicated member of the Downtown Visalian's Association for many years. Carol's passions extended beyond her professional life. She loved to socialize, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. Her culinary skills were renowned, and her home was always open, welcoming friends and family with warmth and delicious food. Adventures filled her life, from camping trips under starry skies to exploring the beauty of the western United States on her Harley with family and friends. Travel was a cherished pastime, and she embraced life with an open heart and adventurous spirit. Her love for animals, especially dogs, was evident to all who knew her. In 2018, Carol moved to Las Vegas, where she found love and companionship with her husband, Ed Domanico. Although their time together was short, their union brought her great happiness. Carol was preceded in death by her Birth Parents, William & Opal Maddux; Adopted Parents, George & Clytemnestra Bott; and sister Katy. She is survived by her loving husband, Ed Domanico; daughter, Staci Barnes (Jason Welch); two grandchildren, Chloe and Zachary Welch; and four sisters, Kathy, Linda, Belinda, and Elaine, along with many nieces and nephews. Carol's life was a tapestry woven with threads of hard work, unwavering love, and boundless enthusiasm. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A private celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carol's name to Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation in Las Vegas, Nevada.
