Cherie Lea Flory, age 70, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at her home in Pahrump, Nevada. Cherie was born on September 21, 1955, in Zweibrücken, Germany, to Jon Maxwell Currie and Leah Lauretta Currie. She grew up alongside her siblings George Harrington Currie, Amber Dawn Currie, Nikki Jo Currie, and Shawn Toland Currie. Cherie was married to Roger Flory, with whom she shared her life in Pahrump, Nevada. She was known for her many interests, including canning, sewing, gardening, caring for animals, poetry, and meticulous planning. A social and expressive soul, Cherie was never one to hold back her thoughts-she made herself known wherever she went and believed strongly in speaking her mind. In 2002, she received a poetry recognition award, a reflection of her creativity and voice. Cherie is survived by her husband, Roger Dale Flory of Pahrump, NV; Maxwell and Gina Flory of Show Low, AZ; Felicity Riley and Onyx Mewhorter of Fairview, MT; Taralou Hickman of Pahrump, NV; Joel Hall of Pahrump, NV; and her siblings George Harrington Currie, Amber Dawn Currie, Nikki Jo Currie, and Shawn Toland Currie. A celebration of life was held on January 4, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 100 W. Stagecoach Road, Pahrump, Nevada. Arrangements were handled by Care Cremation and Burial, Las Vegas, Nevada.
