Christine Ann
Pierce
Jul 14, 1954 — Oct 30, 2025
Christine Ann Pierce, 71, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Thursday, October 30, 2025, surrounded by love. A lifelong fighter, Christine faced every challenge with unwavering courage, hope, and the brightest smile. A three-time Cancer survivor (ovarian, thyroid, GIST tumor) and a heart attack/stroke survivor, she lived each day with gratitude-dedicated to spreading love, joy, and compassion to everyone she met.
Born on July 14, 1954, in Santa Monica, California, Christine was the beloved daughter of Frances Pikush and Gilbert Dominic Sellan. She grew up in Redlands, California, and graduated from Redlands High School, spending most of her days at the barn with her horse Ming. An accomplished equestrian, Christine excelled in English Hunter Jumper competitions and carried a lifelong love for horses and all animals. She also found her love for music and concerts early in life with a special love for music festivals.
Christine's professional life was as vibrant and varied as her personality. She worked with Continental Airlines in Los Angeles, serving in Reservations & Pilot and Flight Attendant Hiring Department and also a travel agent expert in the flight, cruise, and tour packages. She continued her career in the travel industry with American Airlines in Las Vegas as a Ticket Counter and Gate Agent. Christine held a management role at Sunset Eastern Animal Hospital, embracing her love for animals. She also held marketing/management positions at Palace Station and Palms Casino Resort, where she met lifelong friends and learned how to party, Vegas style! In her later years, she served as an International Executive Travel Agent, assisting VIPs and celebrities with their world travels.
At the young age of 18, Christine married Guy W. Pierce, Jr., in the Catholic church, with a big, Italian wedding. In their 17 years of marriage, she conquered many life changes, including her ovarian cancer diagnosis at 19, adopting their two children & moving from California to Las Vegas. They shared many other meaningful life chapters as they grew from teenagers to adults together creating a lifelong bond, even through divorce. Throughout her life, Christine found a few other great loves, friendships, and purpose in the people and animals she cared for. Her children, John and Jenna, and her grandchildren, Emery, Grayson, and Trent, were the lights of her life. She adored spending time with them-baking chocolate chip cookies, planning outings, and sharing her love of music, movies, dancing and laughter.
A devoted animal lover, Christine opened her heart and home to countless creatures, including her most recent, cherished cats, -Mocha, Sparkle, and Mittens. She found joy in nature, loved plants, trees, pink roses and working in the yard. She loved the beach and Hawaii, and the mountains too, but mainly she was a California beach girl.
Christine loved to host friends and family for dinner by treating them to homemade Italian meals, her famous pierogies, chicken tacos and many delicious, sweet treats. She also loved watching the Golden Knights games, Go-Knights-Go, and throwing her famous themed parties. Christine was Catholic and deeply spiritual, often praying for others-especially for animals in need. Her greatest wish was simple and pure: peace, happiness, good health and love for all beings.
Christine is survived by her children, son, John (Amanda) Pierce and daughter, Jenna (Matt) Meyer; grandchildren Emery, Grayson, and Trent; brother Dana (Elizabeth) Sellan; sister Cathy (Mike) Bjork; uncle Rudy Friedrich, mother-in-law, Pam Price; many loving cousins, nieces and nephews; and her beloved cats.
