Claude Buitendach, aged 43, of Guelph, Ontario, passed away on September 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of immense warmth, unwavering love, and a passion for living life to its fullest.

Born in South Africa on July 25, 1983, to Chris and Claudia Buitendach, Claude grew up surrounded by a vibrant family alongside his brothers, Christiaan, Cisco, and Craven.

On August 26, 2011, Claude married the love of his life, Kristel. Together, they shared a beautiful journey spanning two continents. For the first nine years of their marriage, they built their family and foundation in South Africa before embarking on an exciting new chapter when they immigrated to Canada. Over the past six years in Canada, they made a warm and welcoming home at 59 Porter Drive in Guelph, establishing deep roots and a rich community of friends.

Professionally, Claude served as a Senior Solutions Director at Syntax Systems Ltd., where his leadership, intellect, and collaborative spirit were deeply valued by colleagues and clients alike.

Above all, Claude was defined by his heart. He was a devoted, loving, and caring father and husband. A constant source of strength who was always there for anyone in need. Claude gave the absolute best and biggest hugs to everyone, wrapping those he loved in genuine comfort and care. He lived big, loved without hesitation, and brought warmth and energy into every room he entered until his very last day.

Claude is survived and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Kristel; his cherished sons, Ethan and Connor; his brothers, Christiaan, Cisco, and Craven; his extended family; and a large, dedicated group of friends across South Africa and Canada who were blessed to know him.
