Craig Matthew Haas
May 14, 1990 – September 27, 2026
Craig Matthew Haas, 36, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on September 27, 2026. He was born May 14, 1990, in Apple Valley, California.
Craig had a special way of lighting up every room he walked into. People felt comfortable around him. He listened without judgment, treated others with respect, and made it easy to trust him. He was a natural leader and protector, the man his family could rely on for anything, and their safe space. Craig was strong, loyal, patient, gentle, and hardworking, and he stood up for what he believed in. He was a proud American who loved his country, loud and proud.
Family was always at the center of Craig’s life. His wife, Kalei, was his best friend and partner in life. He was very close to his mom and his siblings, and he shared an especially meaningful bond with his grandmother, Ruth. Craig took his role as a brother and godfather seriously. He made it his mission to lead the way and set an example, and being godfather to his brother’s daughter, Willow Jade, was something very special to him.
Craig had a passion for strength and fitness, and the gym was a big part of his everyday life. The friends he trained with daily became another family to him, and those friendships ran far deeper than having people to work out with. He had recently begun building a business in wellness and nutrition, something he was excited about. His recovery community was also an important part of his life, where he formed many deep and lasting friendships. Craig was proud of his career as a professional heavy haul truck driver in Las Vegas and valued the friendships he made there as well.
And then there was summer. Craig lived for being on the water: boating, fishing, wakeboarding, music, barbecuing, and spending summer days surrounded by family and friends. The lake was his favorite place, where he and his family made countless memories camping, fishing, and sitting around the campfire. It was his solace, a place where he could relax and simply be. He shared his love for the lake with everyone, because he wanted them to feel the peace it gave him.
Craig is survived by his wife, Kalei Haas; his mother, Allison Holman; his father, Timothy Haas; his brothers, Timothy Ryan Haas and River Holman; his sister, Alexa Holman; his niece and goddaughter, Willow Jade; his grandmother, Ruth Newberry, Aunt Amber Reed,Stepdad Michael Holman, many cousins and extended family members and friends.
