Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of David Donald Larson on December 28, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada just three days shy of his fifty-fifth birthday. Dave was born in Sioux City, Iowa on December 31, 1970. He lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming for most of his life. Known for his hearty laughter and terrific sense of humor, Dave was instantly liked by everyone he met. It seemed he was always smiling; and he definitely focused on finding the fun in life. He had a way of lighting up any room with his easygoing, friendly mannerisms. As a child, he was affectionately called "Gump" and "Little Larson" and, much to his chagrin, those nicknames stuck with him his whole life. He graduated from Cheyenne East High School in 1989 and immediately began a successful career in plumbing, earning a Master Plumber credential in 2000, and becoming well known for his precise and thorough craftsmanship. Dave was a proud member of UA Local 192 Plumbers and Pipefitters. A gifted athlete and avid sportsman, Dave relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2021 with the primary objective of golfing during every spare moment. Dave also greatly enjoyed football season and had been a dedicated fan of the Buffalo Bills since childhood. NASCAR, too, was a passion of his with Kyle Larson being his favorite driver. Dave is survived by two older siblings, Jacki Larson Donner of Winterville, NC, and Steven Larson of Las Vegas, NV; nephews Kiel (Stephanie) Golike of Grimesland, NC, and Reid Golike of Cheyenne, WY; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will dearly miss the joy he brought to their lives. His girlfriend, Jennifer Karigianes, and his lifelong and closest friend, Brian Soriano, were at Dave's side when he passed and the family will be forever grateful for their love and devotion. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Barbara Larson. A celebration of life will be held in Cheyenne, Wyoming in the summer of 2026. In lieu of gifts for the family, please consider making a donation, in Dave's memory, to the Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation in Las Vegas or to the Buffalo Bills' QB, Josh Allen's foundation, The Patricia Allen Fund .
