With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dion Elaine Moric, age 57, of Las Vegas, Nevada, who departed this life on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
Dion was born on December 3, 1969, to Elaine Gaines and Lawrence Gaines. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Gaines, and her sisters, Stacy Gaines and Kim Harris.
On May 22, 2012, Dion married the love of her life, Zoltan Moric, in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, partnership, and shared joy.
Dion served as Director of Entertainment Settlements for Caesars Entertainment, where she was respected for her professionalism, dedication, and integrity.
All her life, Dion lived with extraordinary care for others. She was thoughtful, funny, talented, sensitive, beautiful, fair, and incredibly strong. She had a rare gift for making people feel special and welcome. One of the many ways she shared her creativity and generosity was through her gorgeous quilts-unique and deeply personal works of art crafted with love for family and friends.
The ultimate hostess, Dion created gatherings filled with warmth, laughter, meaningful connection, and of course, delicious food-especially her unforgettable mac & cheese. She was always there for anyone who needed her, dropping everything to support friends and family in their times of need.
Dion was an encouraging and steady presence, uplifting those around her with her compassion and genuine spirit. She was the sunshine in our lives, in both blue skies and gray. Though the world feels dimmer without her, her love and example will continue to guide us.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Zoltan Moric of Las Vegas, NV; her mother, Elaine Gaines of Syracuse, NY; her brother-in-law, Edmund Harris; and her cherished nieces, Sara Harris of San Diego, CA, and Erika Harris of Clinton, MD.
