Donna Sue Topolski, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the age of 76, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a resident of Henderson, NV. Donna, born on September 30, 1947, in Mount Vernon, IL. She spent her early years in LaPorte, Indiana, and later moved to Lockport, IL, where she met her highschool sweetheart, Thomas A. Topolski, during her sophomore year of high school. Their love story led to a joyous union on July 29, 1967, and together they celebrated 56 years of marriage. A high school graduate with a knack for words, Donna embarked on a fulfilling career as an administrative assistant and medical billing and coding specialist. Her talents, however, extended far beyond the workplace. Donna was a dedicated stay-at-home mom and wife, raising four children with love and care. Her journey with Tom took them to various places, including North Aurora, IL, Duncanville, TX, Copper Canyon, TX, Santa Fe, MN, Lubbock, TX, and ultimately retirement in Henderson, NV. Donna was a social butterfly, making friends wherever she went. Her genuine interest in people's lives and her incredible memory for birthdays and anniversaries made her a cherished friend to many. She showered everyone with birthday shout-outs, showcasing her caring nature. Her love for games, from Trivial Pursuit to Mahjong, and her prowess in word-related activities made her the go-to partner for entertainment. Donna's linguistic intelligence and love for reading, puzzles, and games were unparalleled. She embraced technology, connecting with family and friends through social media, always staying updated with the latest trends. A woman of varied interests, Donna enjoyed cruising, traveling, and attending shows. Her passion for basketball, football, and the sports her kids and grandkids played demonstrated her unwavering support. Donna had a soft spot for certain foods, including biscuits and gravy, burgers and fries, her favorite color was blue, and she LOVED owls of any kind! Donna Sue Topolski will be remembered as a loving wife, exceptional mother, and devoted friend. Her unconditional love, social spirit, and joy for life left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas A. Topolski, and her children, Todd (Kim), Timothy, Tammi (Craig), and Trisha (Bradly). Donna's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Jenna, Matthew, Ashlyn, Rebecca, Joshua, Meghan, JessicaAnne, Tommy, Melissa, and Mitch, and great-grandchildren, Xayden, Xalena, Jericho, Jillian, and Jensen, as well as, her sister, Joy Lynn Grooms, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Arthur Cunningham and Norma Jean (Cooper) Cunningham, her brother William Cunningham, and great-grandchild Xander Boedigheimer. A Celebration of Life in honor of Donna will take place on January 4, 2024, from 12-3 pm at Giuseppe's Restaurant, 2630 W. Horizon Ridge Pkwy., Henderson, NV. The officiant for the service will be Ron Hollis. Donna's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
