Edward Allen Jackson, 77, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
Born on June 18, 1948, in Oklahoma, Edward was the son of Carroll Sr. and Gloria Jackson. He grew up alongside his siblings Carroll Jr., Michael, and William. Edward excelled at sports in his youth, particularly track and football. He later proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era, reaching the rank of E-3. After his military service, he moved to California and joined the IATSE union as a Grip, working on various motion pictures including Primal Fear, Wayne's World 2, Scrooged, and many more. This career allowed him to travel to several countries while working on film sets.
After retiring, Edward became a longtime resident of Las Vegas. He enjoyed gambling as a pastime and was a devoted Catholic. He had many friends and was always known as a very caring and generous person.
He was predeceased by his wife Eunice, parents and brother Billy Jackson
Edward is survived by his son, Michael Bascon, and daughter-in-law Melissa, of Pahrump, NV; his grandchildren: Giovanna, Maximus, Philomena, Ingrid, Anastasia, Tobias, Chiara, Natalia, and Vladimir; along with other family members including nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends.
A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by Mass at 11am at St. Viators Catholic Church, 2461 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89121, with graveside burial to follow at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1:20pm.
