Emmanuel "Manny" Canto was born to Eutiquio and Adelina Canto on May 9,1948 in Iloilo City, Philippines. He is the eldest of seven siblings and has embarked his journey to the US with his Navy Veteran father. Here he was able to establish a livelihood dedicated to help raise his grandchildren and continue raising two of his five children as he continued to support those overseas. Emmanuel is better known as "Pa" or "Papa" to his children and "Lolo" to his grandchildren. He brought friends and family together with his charming and humorous personality. He was a great family man who believed in showing up for every occasion, big or small. Karaoke, singing, and dancing were amongst the top of his favorite things to do. Every gathering involved his desire to turn it into a karaoke and dance session that lightened up the room. The holidays were his absolute favorite to celebrate and bring the family together. With his departure from the earthly world and into Heaven, the holidays and family gatherings will not be the same without his joyous laughter, smile, and warm presence. He is survived by his children Enrique, Evelyn, Emyzle, Emily, and Eleazar. His final resting place is in Las Vegas, Nevada. He will forever be in our hearts and his memory lives on forever through close friends, families, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him. His kind soul, gentle touch, and generosity will never be forgotten. We remember him today as a strong and loving son, father, brother, and grandfather. Thank you to all who have made this transition smooth as no one could have prepared better for it. May he rest in peace.
