Obituary

The beautiful Erin Elizabeth Schneider, born May 8, 1983, in Westminster, Colorado, passed away on January 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of artistry, laughter, and love that will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Erin spent much of her life in Colorado, where she shared her vibrant spirit and creative talents. A gifted performer, she studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, eventually earning her bachelor's degree with a near-perfect GPA. Erin landed a touring role right out of college. Sadly, during the tour, she suffered health issues and was eventually diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. After trying to navigate her career and disease in NYC for a year, she made the heart-wrenching decision to return home to Colorado to be near family. Once settled, Erin returned to the theatre in Denver, where she landed the role of the Witch in the Phamaly Theatre Company's production of "Into the Woods." She was cast in three more shows, including "Honk," which took her to Japan to perform, and the role of Thelma Kelly in "Chicago." She was a dedicated actress whose skill and passion for the stage were evident in every role she embraced. For her performance in "Chicago," she was honored as a Henry Award nominee, a testament to her remarkable talent and commitment to her craft. Erin had a deep love for friends, family, singing, and theatre, and she brought joy to others through her expressive performances, quick wit, and great hugs. Known for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and loving heart, she had a way of lighting up any room she entered. Her generosity, humor, and artistic soul left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her loving partner, David Hundley; her mother, Mary Ann Bridges; her father, Steven Schneider; her stepfather, Scott Bridges; her sisters, Andrea Rivale and Stephenie Hickman; her maternal grandmother, Evelyn (Sue) Grosso; her paternal grandmother, Marcia Schneider; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles who will cherish her memory. Erin's life was a testament to the beauty of artistic expression and the power of kindness and joy. She will be remembered not only for her talent but for the love she gave so freely. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the last project Erin contributed to, "The Great Now What," a documentary created by Erin's friend, Maggie Whittum, a stroke survivor who is also a member of the Phamaly Theatre Company. A crowdfunding campaign is currently underway at https://seedandspark.com/fund/tgnw Family and friends will be celebrating Erin's life in Lafayette, Colorado, on May 23, 2026.
