Ervin W. Howery, age 60, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026.
Ervin was a wonderful, devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Lea Howery; children, Kevin (Sam) Howery, Ryin Howery, Erin Howery; grandchildren, Patrick, Nixon, Kaily, Gabrielle, and Gauge; stepdaughter Mary (Brett) Willman; sisters-in-law, Lois Wells and Brenda Kendall (Larry Mullett); brother-in-law, Doug (Amy) Wells; nephews, James Wells and Conner (Jackie) Wells, Chuck (Sarah) Kendall, nieces Reve Kendall, Teri (Alex) Hepler and step- father Eldon McKinnon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Nancy Howery; sister Earleen Howery, mother- in- law, Gayle Wells, stepson, Michael Watkins; and brothers-in-law, Larry Wells, Scott Kendall and Steve Wells.
For more than 25 years, Ervin proudly served as a member of the UA Local 525 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. He deeply valued his union brothers and sisters, considering them part of his extended family. Over the years, he mentored countless apprentices, sharing not only his skills but also his integrity and work ethic.
Ervin was a kind, giving man who always put the needs of others above his own. His warm spirit, sense of humor, and compassion will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Ervin's life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 12:00 noon at the UA Local 525 Hall, located at 760 N. Lamb Blvd., Las Vegas. Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to gather and honor the memory of a truly remarkable man.
He will forever remain in our hearts.
