Obituary

Esther Barry Raudenbush, 88, of North Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Esther was born in Larksville, Pennsylvania, on December 29, 1937. She was the daughter of James Barry and Elizabeth "Bessie" Carey. She was a graduate of Larksville High School, class of 1955. Esther married Robert "Bob" Raudenbush, who was in the United States Air Force stationed at Benton Air Force Base in Benton, Pennsylvania. He was later stationed at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and in 1976, he was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, where they remained after retirement and made their home. Esther was a talented quilter who belonged to several quilting groups in the area and traveled to numerous quilting shows around the country. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed monthly luncheons with her friends. She and her husband traveled often and made an annual trip to Pennsylvania to visit with family. Esther loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bob, sons, Robert, Jr. (Rachel), North Las Vegas; Anthony, North Las Vegas; daughters, Lisa (Chris) Gardner Colorado Springs, Colorado; Debbie Dubuque (Jay), Plattsburgh, New York; daughter-in-law Priscilla, North Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren,11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings James, John, Gene, Anne, and Margaret; sons Thomas (North Las Vegas) and David (Plattsburgh, New York); grandsons Tyler Gardner (Colorado Springs,Colorado) and Johnny Raudenbush (North Las Vegas, Nevada). Interment will be held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 11:15 am. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
