"The hardest part of losing your mom isn't saying goodbye — it's learning to live without her."
Geraldine Rose Cultrona, lovingly known to family and friends as "Gerry," peacefully entered eternal rest on July 31, 2026, at the age of 93, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Born on March 21, 1933, in Youngstown, Ohio, Gerry was the cherished daughter of John Ferritto and Adeline Calabrese Ferritto. She was raised alongside her brothers, Anthony Ferritto and John Ferritto, in a close-knit family that instilled in her the values of faith, hard work, and love for others.
On May 22, 1954, Gerry married the love of her life, Fred Cultrona, beginning a beautiful journey of marriage built upon devotion, friendship, and unwavering commitment. Together they created a loving home where family was always the center of everything.
After graduating from high school and attending trade school, Gerry built a successful career as a beautician and manicurist. She possessed an artistic eye and an incredible gift for helping others feel beautiful and confident. Her creativity extended far beyond the salon, as she had a remarkable talent for designing clothing, decorating interiors, and creating beautiful crafts that reflected her impeccable sense of style.
Gerry embraced life with enthusiasm and enjoyed many hobbies throughout the years. Whether she was on the golf course, bowling with friends, shopping for the perfect find, or creating something beautiful with her hands, she approached everything with joy and creativity. She especially loved animals, holding a special place in her heart for dogs and elephants, whose gentle spirits brought her happiness.
A devoted member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Gerry's faith remained an important foundation throughout her life. She was known for her quick wit, playful sarcasm, infectious laugh, and extraordinary eye for design. Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother whose greatest joy came from caring for her family.
In 2020, her beloved daughter, Cher Cultrona, relocated from San Francisco, California, to Las Vegas to lovingly care for her mother. Their time together became a treasured chapter filled with devotion, companionship, and unconditional love.
Gerry leaves behind countless cherished memories and is lovingly survived by her daughter, Cher Cultrona, along with extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were brightened by her kindness, humor, and generous heart.
Though she is no longer physically with us, her elegance, laughter, creativity, and unconditional love will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services for Gerry will be held Thursday August 13,2026 1pm St Elizabeth Ann Seton.
A note from Cher
