Obituary

Jacob Cole Bushar passed away on March 22, 2026 in Pioche Nevada. Jake was born on May 4th 1987 to Jay and Lori Bushar in St. George Utah. From a very young age Jake loved to take things apart to see how they worked and if they could be upgraded or altered. His first projects were a lawnmower dad gave him and grandma's toaster, much to her aggravation. He loved playing pranks on people and often altered things to include in those pranks. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors camping or rock hounding. His dream was to move back to Alaska exploring the region with dad after spending a year there as a child. He was always at the river catching salmon and exploring the woods with friends from school, he absolutely loved living there. Jake's adult life was, in many ways, tragically a life not lived. Not that he didn't want to. Not that he wasn't loved and wanted. He always was by us, and many others. But his was a life not lived due to mental illness for which he could not find effective treatment. He tried and tried, our wonderful sweet, silly, intelligent, loving, funny, and generous brother tried, but he was very sick, and very for a long time and he'd lost all hope for his life, and for the rest of our lives we will miss him in ours. Jacob is survived by his parents Gregor Jay Bushar and Lori Pirone, his sisters and families, Jennifer Christensen (Tim) Carol, Jay and Kimberly Montes (Jeremy) Brady (Jace), Emma, MacKenna.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
