Jimmy was an accomplished alto saxophone player and performed with bands in Nashville, Chico California and Las Vegas. He mastered and lovingly played hundreds of jazz standards and had a knack for significantly escalating the energy and enthusiasm in his many blues, rock and reggae performances.

Jimmy grew up at China Lake Naval Base attending Sherman E Burroughs High School and attended college in Fullerton, California. He loved a good melody and highlighted scores with his beautiful saxophone tone and solo prowess. Jimmy also performed at Las Vegas business conventions with the Doug Taylor Band and performed with the John Earl Boogyman Blues Band and Lena Prima.

Jimmy met his wife Katie (Callaway) in April 2002 and they married in December. Their favorite activity was camping at the beach in Carpinteria California. Jimmy also worked as a sterile processing technician for hospitals in Chico and Las Vegas. He enjoyed long road trips and camping in the Utah and Arizona deserts. Jim and Katie enjoyed watching sporting events together, including tennis, football, baseball and golf.
