Jehuda Nissanov, beloved husband of the late Malca Karfunkel Nissanov, passed away on July 8, 2023 in Henderson Nevada. Jehuda was born on February 26, 1924 in Przemysl, Poland to Nissan and Yetta Lipovecky. At 17, when Germany broke the Russo-German pact, Jehuda escaped to the Soviet Union where he eventually joined Anders' Army, a Polish division of the Red Army. In 1942, he made his way through Iran into Israel. He married Malca in 1950. Jehuda and Malca moved to Denver, CO in 1967, and moved to Henderson, NV 12 years ago. Jehuda is survived by his children Dafnah Nissanov-Zular of Arizona, Amnon (Yocheved) Nissan of New York, Anat (Zwi) Rosenstein of Colorado and Jonathan (Lise Rioux) Nissanov of Nevada. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren and innumerable great grandchildren. Interment took place at Mount Richmond Cemetery in Staten Island. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
