It is with profound sadness that our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, teacher, mentor, and friend, Jerry Sklar, passed away on earlier today, at age 93. Jerry is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Amy of New York City and Alan and Linda of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughter Jenny and her husband Eric Winters and their children, Dylan and Lena Winters, of Mandeville, LA; grandsons, Danny, of Long Beach, CA, Andrew, of Denver, CO, and Michael of New York City; niece Jill Geiger and her husband, Barry, of West Orange; and nephew Rabbi Lewis Wienerkur and his wife, Melissa, of Woodmere, NY. A funeral service for Jerry was held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Sinai Chapels, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Committal Service followed at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Road, Elmont, NY 11003. Contributions in Jerry's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
