Jerry Clell Stratton, 83, passed away peacefully at home in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 12, 2026, due to complications from dementia.
Jerry was born on November 27, 1942, in La Verkin, Utah, to Mahala Ruth Hepworth and Clell William Stratton. He spent his early childhood in La Verkin before moving with his family to Las Vegas at the age of 10. He graduated from Rancho High School in 1961 and later earned his degree from Brigham Young University in 1968.
Jerry faithfully served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in North Carolina, where he met and baptized his future wife, Mary Frances Trotter. They were later married and built a loving family together.
Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; his children, Carrie Taylor, Dana (Ken) Murphy, Kristi (Eric) Driscoll, Brian (Robyn) Stratton, Lori (Rocco) Novero, Jill Stratton, David (Kristi) Stratton, and Brittany (Brandon) Corbett; 33 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and his cherished dog, Minnie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mahala Ruth Hepworth and Clell William Stratton.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Chapel, 4525 N Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89108, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow that afternoon at La Verkin City Cemetery in Utah.
