Joan Johnson, age 78, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Joan was born August 06, 1944 in Michigan City, Indiana, a daughter of Charles and Rosetta Watts White. In her working days, Joan was a Jewelry Manager for Walmart. She is survived by eight children, Terry Shockley of Indianapolis, IN, LeRonia Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, Jerry Johnson Jr. (Katherine) of Las Vegas, NV, Kathy LaFleur (Edwin) of Sherwood, AR, Robert Johnson (Michelle) of Lancaster, CA, Lawrence Metcalf of Michigan City, IN, Victor Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, and Sixx Johnson of Sherman Oaks, CA and seven siblings, Frank White of Houston, TX, Charles White (Sylvia) of Battle Creek, MI, Ray White (Gwenda) of Las Vegas, NV, Rita McDonald of Battle Creek, MI, Barbara White of Kalamazoo, MI, Herman White of Battle Creek, MI, and William White of Jacksonville, FL, and 34 Grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren and a host of friends and family who will all miss her greatly. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Johnson Sr., two sisters, Eloise Taylor and Gloria McDonald, as well as her parents Charles and Rosetta White.
