Joel Joshua Mason, 52 years old May 8, 1971 - August 27, 2023 Las Vegas, Nevada Joel Mason (52) was born in Germany, May 8, 1971, to Kathi and Claude "Chip" Young. Joel passed away in on August 27, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada. During his childhood he lived in Alaska, Arizona, Washington, and Oregon with his parents and three siblings, Jeremy Mason, Jesse Mason, and Christina Mason. He married his current spouse Bonnie Mason in 2011, he was married twice before to Holly Dubois and Janette Mason. Joel Mason was a Visionary. A real creative artist, comedian, entertainer, and consummate musician. His life touched, moved, and inspired thousands, if not, millions. Joel was a huge contribution to this earth, blessing us all with laughter, love, and music. His heart was his family. The stage was his platform for amazing creativity. He was a bright light that can never truly be diminished. He performed exclusively for Holland America Cruise Lines as the ultimate headliner for many years before transitioning to Royal Caribbean Cruise lines, quickly becoming a favorite there as well. He is admired by many professionals in his field. He was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in August of 2021. He fought so hard in those two years with his only desire being to stay with his family as long as he could. He faced his illness and death with amazing courage and grace. He inspired so many during this chapter. He was miserable leading up to the days of his death but fortunately we were able to relieve his pain at the end. His last words were, 'I'm comfortable.' Which brings comfort to his family, who only wanted him to pass in peace. He will forever be loved, missed and cherished. We will see you again and I'm sure you are brightening up the heavens as we speak. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Mason of Henderson, Nevada (originally Ozark, Alabama), his children, Chantel Courtney, Madison Mason, Morgan Mason and Ballad Mason, his mother Kathi Jones and father Lee Mason (Linda Mason), his siblings Christina Mason and Jesse Mason (Mayra Mason). He is also survived by his aunts, Chris Hughes and Donna Dees, his sister-in-law Beth Mason, his nephews, Colin Mason, Cade Henry, Chloe Mason, Wyatt Mason, David Mason and his niece December Mason, his cousins Jen Hughes, Eric, Michael and Nicole Dees and grandmother Joyce Young. Joel is preceded in death by his biological father Claude (Chip) Young, uncle Craig Young, Grandfather Claude Young, grandparents Don and Jean Bassett, brother Jeremy Mason, and stepfather Eric Jones.
