John (Jack) Frederick Keaton 77 years of age, passed away on Wednesday July 31st peacefully in his sleep at home in Henderson, Nevada.
Jack was born in Highland Park, Michigan, on September 21, 1946 to Gilbert and Florence Keaton. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Claudia, his daughter, Melissa Anne (Reina) Keaton, his son, Stephen and daughter-in-law, Heidi, grandson, Rian Reina, He is also survived by his brother, Patrick of Lansing, Michigan, his sister, Colleen and brother-in-law, Michael Pummer of Longmont, Colorado and sister, Lisa and brother-in-law, Jack Reynolds, of Daytona Beach, Florida, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
After earning associate degrees from Macomb Community College he entered the United Sates Army and served from 1968 to 1970. Upon discharge from the military and return to the States, he married Claudia Basaj on May 9, 1970, in St. Batholomew Catholic Church, Detroit, Michigan.
Jack's experience as a project manager was extremely diverse. His capability to adapt and learn various industries allowed him to travel to various parts of the world, including Mexico, China, and Southeast Asia. His career also required he and his family to relocate to Illinois and California with a brief stop in Florida.
Upon retirement he and his wife moved to Henderson, Nevada in July of 2020. While in Florida he became a member of the Moose Lodge and in Henderson, Nevada he was a member of the American Legion.
Jack's easy-going personality and quick wit made everyone during his life an instant friend. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. He will be cremated and kept at home.
