Obituary

John Lee Rogers, age 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in North Las Vegas, NV.
Born on April 2, 1958, in Muese, France, to a military family, John was the youngest of his siblings, including Debi Gilbert, Ginger Woods, and Cindy Young. He married Theresa (Creel) Rogers on October 8, 1993. John attended Lawton High School in Lawton, Oklahoma, and later pursued a career as a concrete finisher/foreman, retiring in 2024.
His passions included football, UFC, tinkering in his garage, playing pinball machines, go-carts, slot car racing, and spending cherished moments with his great-nieces whom he adored like granddaughters. Known for his humor and wit, John was loving, caring, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a knack for storytelling and was fond of singing and creating his own songs.
John spent his childhood in France and Alaska due to his father's military service before settling in Lawton, OK. He met his beloved wife in Florida, and together they made their home in Las Vegas, where John lived for over 30 years.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Theresa Rogers of North Las Vegas, NV; loving son, Nicholas Rogers of North Las Vegas, NV; niece, Jamie Arneson of North Las Vegas, NV, and her children Nevaeh, Naomi, and Noelle, whom he cherished as grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debi and Larry Gilbert of Forest, MS, Ginger and Butch Woods of Lawton, OK, and Cindy and Rodney Young of Orange, TX; mother-in-law, Donna Arneson of St. Cloud, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Kim Arneson of Palm Bay, FL; mother, Saundra Rogers of Lawton, OK; and his beloved dogs, Taffy, Maya, and Milo.
John was preceded in death by his father, Monte Rogers of Lawton, OK, James A Arneson father-in-law, of St. Cloud, FL, and brother-in-law James E Arneson of St. Cloud, FL.
John passed away peacefully with his wife and sister Cindy by his side.
A celebration of John's life will be planned and announced at a later date.
