John Savage died peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at age 59 in Las Vegas, NV. He was born in Las Vegas on April 26, 1967. He was preceded in death by mother Mary Savage, father Peter Savage and longtime companion Kathy Leigh.

John attended Bonanza High School. Although he lived most of his life in Las Vegas, he spent several years living with his grandmother in Massachusetts, a few years living in New Hampshire with his parents in addition to living in Denver and New Orleans.

He was a commercial truck driver and was involved in the automotive industry. He loved motor racing, music, the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Celtics and animals. Over his life he cared for many cats. In his teens, John was a prolific and successful BMX racer evidenced by the many trophies he collected. He will be missed for his generous love of family, sense of humor and willingness to help others.

He is survived by his sister, Gail Martinez (Jose); brother, Peter (Holly); and niece Kelly (Craig).
