It is with great sadness that we announce that Joseph "Joe" Samuel Premack Z"L, 84, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. Born on April 22, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois to Florence and Boris Premack and raised in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, Joe made lifelong friends who shared his love of poker and horse racing. As a native Chicagoan, Joe was a die-hard Bears fan, holding season tickets for many years and supporting his team even on the coldest of Chicago days. Joe spent his career working for the Illinois Department of Revenue where he supervised the Business Registration Division. Joe and his wife, Renee, retired to Las Vegas in 1999 where they soaked up the sun, frequented the casinos, ate amazing food, and enjoyed all life had to offer with friends and family. They traveled all over the world, enjoying nearly every continent. Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Renee Premack. He is also survived by his son Daniel Premack (Ted), stepdaughter Jennifer Newton (Brandon), stepson Jason Allswang (Erika), and 7 grandchildren- Emily, Tyler, Sydney, Jack, Noah, Mason, and Carter. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Annette. A graveside service is planned for January 15, 2025, at noon at Woodlawn Cemetery in Las Vegas. Family and friends are invited to gather at the home of Jason and Erika Allswang after the service.
