Joy Auli'i Soriano was born in Louisiana to William "Bill" Prescott and Margaret "Margo" Hatchie. She lived a life marked by perseverance, faith, and unconditional love for the family she held dear.
She was the proud mother of her sons Jeff and Josh and daughters Kimmie and Roxanne. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of her spirit forward.
Joy faced a six-year battle with cancer, fighting with dignity and unwavering courage until her passing on August 1, 2025. Her strength was quiet but fierce, and her heart was boundless-always ready to nurture, protect, and forgive.
Even in her final moments, Joy remained a God-fearing woman, grateful for every blessing. Her faith never wavered; she continued to thank God through every trial, holding fast to His grace with reverence and trust.
Her memory lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the devotion of her sons and daughters, and the countless lives she touched simply by being herself. To those who knew her, Joy was a source of comfort, wisdom, and unshakable love.
