Obituary

Judith Ann White (Judy) nee Jackson, age 70 of Las Vegas Nevada, passed away on Friday October 16th, 2026. Born on January 20th, 1956, in Toronto Ontario. Judy dedicated her life to the service of others, leaving behind a legacy of advocacy for others.

As a dedicated social worker for over 40 years, she committed her career to supporting people at virtually every walk of life. From young babies, children, troubled teens, teen mothers and their babies, adoptive parents, then later in her career she chose to support vulnerable seniors.

Whether she was working for the Children’s Aid Society, Adoptions Nevada, or Home Health Care she was always showing boundless empathy, her sharp intellect and her love for others. She also spent her free time volunteering, collecting donations, giving to army vets, and dropping off water to individuals in need on a hot day. Her garage and spare rooms were always full of donations going somewhere.

Her compassion extended into her personal life with her partner Jim and her children Chris (Shelley), Carolyn (John), and Tracie. She was a fiercely proud Nana to Curtis, Evin and Jonah and she will be remembered for the many fun times and happy visits we had together. Judy is survived by her brother Max (Martha) and her sister Sharon (Tom). Judy loved her dogs and to travel, especially going on cruises to Hawaii and Alaska to name a few. She never lost her ties to Canada and continued to celebrate all Canadian holidays with a passion. She also had a passion for hockey which she bestowed upon the Vegas Golden Knights. She was an avid and loyal fan and made several friends through her love of hockey.

A service honoring her life and legacy of service will be held at a later date so we can all be together. In honor of Judy’s passion for giving please consider donating to the Children’s Aid Foundation at https://give.cafdn.org/page/155706/donate/1 or your local food bank.
