Katherine Piwowarczyk, 81, passed away on September 12, 2024. She was survived by her loving husband, Frank Piwowarczyk. Katherine was also a beloved mother to Dr. Paula Kerchenski, Karen Doucet, and Paul Piwowarczyk. Katherine was also a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren, Christian and Kaitlyn Doucet. She was very close to her surviving sister, Mary Lou Torba, who also mourns her passing. Katherine retired from Starpoint Central Schools, where she worked for many years, leaving a lasting impact on the colleagues she encountered. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Las Vegas to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Las Vegas in her memory.
