It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kerry Lee Cartmill, age 61, who passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kerry was born on June 25, 1963, in Rawlins, Wyoming, to Harold Leon Cartmill and Shirley Lee Brown.
Kerry was a loving husband, devoted father, proud Papa, and an avid supporter of his community. He is survived by his wife, Agata Vollers, whom he married on February 8, 2023, and with whom he shared his life since 2014. Kerry was also married to Desiree Case from October 25, 1985, to June 30, 2008. He leaves behind his cherished daughters, Tiffany Skipper and Meagan King, along with their spouses, John Daniel Skipper Jr., and Justin King. His grandchildren, John Daniel Skipper III, Preston James King, and Noah Skipper brought him immense joy and love.
Kerry was also deeply loved by his family, including his stepfather, Dennis Fischer, siblings Mike O'Donnel and Lawrence Cartmill, and his beloved dogs Bree, Gizmo, and Stormy.
Kerry's professional life was defined by his passion for general contracting. He ran two businesses, K&D Enterprises from 1991 to 1998 and Cartmill Rodgers Construction Company from 1997 to 2009. Following these ventures, Kerry continued his career with various other construction companies in Las Vegas. His skill, dedication, and work ethic left an enduring impact on the construction industry.
Kerry was a man who found peace in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, razor rides, golfing, snorkeling, and boating. He was especially fond of coaching his daughter's high school softball team and loved his Great Danes. Above all, Kerry cherished being a "girl dad" and a doting grandfather. His sense of humor was unmatched, and he took pride in his arm-wrestling skills, confident that he could beat anyone.
A dedicated member of his church community, Kerry volunteered for the Boys & Girls Club, West Charleston Baptist Awana's, Canyon Ridge Operations Team, and The Crossing Operations Team. He was also a leader of The Crossing Men's Ministry and served as a small group leader for over 20 years, deeply impacting the lives of those around him.
A funeral service to celebrate Kerry's life will be held at The Crossing Church - Windmill, located at 7950 W Windmill Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89113, on January 11, 2025, at 11 AM. Following the service, Kerry will be laid to rest at a location that will be announced during the ceremony.

Kerry's favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 40:31, which reads:
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Kerry's legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
