Kevin passed away peacefully the evening of Monday, November 3rd in Las Vegas with family by his side. After a short six-month battle, complications from a stroke took him from us much too early.
Kevin was born on January 31st, 1957, on a cold winter day in Las Vegas, NV. He was the third child born to Glen and Pat Jarrett and was most obviously the "baby".
As a child, he played just about every sport. From Little League to Pop Warner to Sagebrush Youth Soccer, he was an athlete. That athleticism followed him through high school at Las Vegas High where he became a Wildcat and lettered in football and soccer. He later helped coach Little League and Pop Warner football here in Las Vegas.
Kevin was also a fabulous dancer. His good looks and charm took him to the stage in Reno, NV where he danced in Bal du Moulin Rouge in 1981. He loved the stage, and the stage loved him. He enjoyed listening to a good record, a concert or a live band at a local dive bar. Music was in his bones.
Kevin spent much of his life perfecting his craft as a master carpenter. He worked for many home builders here in Las Vegas but his pride and joy was his own home. He worked tirelessly creating his masterpiece. He hand built dressers and chairs, fixed broken windows, laid carpet and hung doors. For lack of better words...he was just plain good at it.
In more recent years, Kevin, who has always had a flare for the wild, took up Harley Davidson riding. He enjoyed the open road and the camaraderie of his riding buddies. He especially enjoyed riding with his nephew Ryan.
Kevin is preceded in death by his father Glendon, mother Patricia, sister Shelia and Great niece Hailey. He is survived by his brother Greg, sister-in-law Sherrie, 4 nieces, 3 nephews, 5 great nieces, 8 great nephews and a countless number of friends and fellow Wildcats.
A very special thank you to those friends that have spent the last six months visiting Kevin, praying for him, dancing around his hospital rooms and having rock and roll parties. You helped send him off well.
