Larry Louis Lords, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Larry was born on November 11, 1946, in Ontario, Oregon, to Willard and Louise Lords. He was one of twelve children and grew up surrounded by his large and loving family. He is survived by his siblings, Mike, Maureen, Ann, Mary Ellen, Susan, Tim, Grace, Pat, Eileen, Donald, and Agnes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Louise Lords.

Larry served his country in the United States Navy. He later earned a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento, in 1980. He was also a longtime restaurant and bar owner in Sacramento, where he owned The Broiler and Gallagers.

Faith was an important part of Larry’s life. He was a devout Catholic and attended church every day. He also had a deep appreciation for writing, running, and singing. Larry especially loved dogs and found great joy in their companionship.

On June 13, 2015, Larry married Sandra Lords in a memorable ceremony aboard the High Roller in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Jones, and his stepdaughter, Terri Jones, both of Las Vegas, as well as his brothers and sisters.

Larry will be remembered for his faith, his love of family, his many interests and talents, and the lasting impression he made on those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
