"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'Wow! What a Ride!"
-Hunter S. Thompson
Despite his best efforts to die alone, Leland Wayne Tolman passed away naturally of his own causes January 9th, 2026 in a hospital room playing his last round of Uno with his family in Las Vegas, Nevada. He's survived by his brother, Michael (Robyn) Tolman, Sister, Marsha (Berry) Craig, daughters Ashlee Troy, Amanda (Trent) Reading, and Grandchildren Bryson (Bam Bam), Blake (Rodeo), Lyra (Girlie), and Samuel IV (Hazard).
Proceded in death by his Mother, Nolan Nadine Tolman, Father LeVirl Tolman, Sisters Susan and Nancy, and Brother William Tolman.
Leland, affectionately known as Lee, faithfully served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He traveled through numerous cities preaching the word of God and in his down time partook in other rogue adventures that we can only assume the Lord himself spoke to him about with a raised eyebrow when he got to Heaven's Pearly Gates. You see, Lee lived life on his own terms and danced to the beat of his own drum, always. He was a straightshooter, impatient as they come, and was the kindest man until you crossed him or someone he loved. He lived fast, laughed often, and at others expense when applicable. He had countless unbelievable true stories that definitely shouldn't be repeated around those of the law enforcement type. Through his life he gave those whom he leaves behind years of memories, laughter, and sorrow in his passing. Lee will be missed greatly by all of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Furthermore, he would leave you with advice to live your own life, screw societal norms, fight for those who can't fight for themselves, and be the reason someone smiles everyday. Those who love and know him know in their hearts he's raising a little hell in heaven.
