Lois A. Darling, 92, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grand mother went to be with our Heavenly Father on April 19th, 2024. Lois passed in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. Lois was born on June 5th, 1931, in Belt, Montana, to Wayne and Verna (Brock) Pyatt, along with sisters Beverly (Ron) Javornik (96) and Barbara (Kenny) Boles /(Clifford) Balster (94); both sisters having passed away in the eight months prior. Lois, the last of her family's generation, is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Russell (C.R.) Darling and son, Michael J. Darling. Lois is survived by her sons Charles W. Darling and Gregory A. Darling, daughter Kris A. (Larry) Hanna, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Lois's family moved from a small farm in Belt, MT, to Great Falls, MT, where Lois attended school, some college in Boseman, MT, and worked at various jobs in the Great Falls area. Lois met the love of her life, C.R. Darling, during an explosive incident in high school Chemistry class. They were married in Great Falls in December 1952 while Charles was in the Navy deployed to Key West, FL. They spent the duration of Charles' service in Key West, returning to Great Falls after his discharge. While Lois was becoming the mother of four, C.R. found employment with Sletten Construction. In 1963 the family relocated to Las Vegas, NV, where C.R. opened new operations for Sletten.

The family remained in the construction industry after C.R.'s retirement from Sletten and the entire family operated two companies over the following years: Darling Development and Darcor Construction. Lois and C.R. were very active in the Las Vegas community in organizational and political endeavors. Upon retirement, Lois and C.R. retired to their long-time retreat in Arizona where they had spent many weekends with the family.
