With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden departure of Lorenzo Phillip Padilla, 35, of Las Vegas, NV, who passed away on May 28, 2026.
Lorenzo was born in Phoenix, AZ in 1990 and moved to Las Vegas in 2002. He graduated from Green Valley High School in 2008.
Lorenzo was a true social butterfly and kept in contact with friends from all walks of his life, from his elementary days, to his high school years, to coworkers throughout the valley and even those he met on the dance floor. He made a point to check in with his people and strived to keep in touch, whether you'd known him once or for 30 years.
Lorenzo loved all things creative. He loved to make his own tie dye & embroidered clothes and style outfits. He mixed music. He liked to paint and to experiment in the kitchen. Of all his creative ventures, he is best known for his photography. Throughout his entire life, Lorenzo documented the people and places that were important to him, leaving behind visions of his love to forever cherish.
Lorenzo loved to uplift and support his loved ones at every opportunity. He was the "funcle" to his nephews and nieces, never missing a recital or event; nor a chance to play dress up or catch. He loved to sing (even when he didn't know the words) and loved, loved, LOVED to dance.
In the entertainment community, he worked with groups such as Audio Bar, MNTRA, Elations and Terrace Afterhours to promote his friends' shows, always with his camera in hand. He was always at the front of the crowd hyping everyone up, whether at a massive venue or a street side event. He would always take time to share a flyer or stop by a friend's booth. He wanted everyone to have a seat at the table - with a full plate!
Lorenzo will be remembered for his positivity, his beautiful smile and his big heart. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. His personal mantra was "spread love always." His spirited energy will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Jodi Hernandez; his father, Danny Padilla; his brothers, Daniel and Timothy Padilla; his grandmother, Mary Fintel; his cousins; his nieces and nephews: Chloe, Timothy, Xander and Zara Padilla; and his fiancee, Amelia "Millie" Hastings.
Service details will be privately announced by family.
