In Loving Memory of Lucy Mae Woodruff

Lucy Mae was born on August 6, 1936 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Columbus and Sadie Julia English.

On June 26.2026, she peacefully entered eternal rest at the age of 89, surrounded by the love of her eldest son and youngest daughter. Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we are grateful for the many years God blessed us with her love, and wisdom.

Lucy enjoyed playing bingo, the slot machines and putting together puzzles, and found joy in life's simple pleasures—whether cooking family meals, listening to music, or gathering loved ones around the table. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, hospitality, and unconditional love.

She leaves her children and their spouse to cherish her memory James Caroll and Ron, Michael Lee and Ruby, Patricia Ann, Gloria Lynn, Charles and Diane, John Fitzgerald and Angie. Including a host of Grand and Great-grand children, one sibling Columbus (Pap) Woodruff,Jr., along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and all who were blessed to know and love her.

Although we will deeply miss Lucy's presence, we find comfort in knowing that she is at peace in the presence of the Lord. Her legacy of faith, love, strength, compassion, and service will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched. We will forever cherish the memories, lessons, and unconditional love she shared with us. Her life was a precious gift, and her legacy will remain in our hearts always.
