Marilyn was a longtime resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. She and her husband moved to the southeast part of town in the summer of 1968, settling on an acre of land not far from the airport. There, she enjoyed ample space for running, playing, and indulging in one of her favorite pastimes: horseback riding.
A talented artist, Marilyn won many awards at local art fairs in her teens. She was also crowned Miss Fullerton in the 1950s and was a baton twirler in a marching band. Marilyn was a gifted cook, a wonderful mother, and loved family gatherings, especially those at her mother's house, and one in particular at the Desert Inn Golf Course. She was deeply rooted in the old Vegas community, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Known for her kindness and generosity, Marilyn was a mother to many and a friend to all. She opened her home to neighborhood kids in need of guidance or a place to stay. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her and had the privilege of knowing her. Her sweet and gentle spirit will never be forgotten.
