Mark
Jordan

Palm Downtown Mortuary & Cemetery
Starts at 1:00 pm
Mark Steven Jordan was born on March 28, 1962, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to the late Arthur and Leona Jordan. As the youngest of six children, Mark was surrounded by the love and support of a close-knit family from the very beginning. He was called home on June 6, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by the love of his family.
Mark was a graduate of VoTech High School in Las Vegas and later attended college in California. During his time there, he enjoyed living in California, where he broadened his experiences, built lasting friendships, and created many cherished memories before eventually returning home to Las Vegas.
Mark dedicated 32 years of service as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service. Known for his strong work ethic and commitment, he faithfully served his community until illness led him to retirement.
Music was one of Mark's greatest passions and a constant source of joy throughout his life. A talented musician, he spent much of his life playing in bands and sharing his love of music with others. He found peace and comfort in studying and playing instruments and had a deep appreciation for jazz, R&B, gospel, and old-school soul music. Whether playing guitar, bass, keyboards, or drums, music was more than a pastime. It was a part of who he was.
Mark was a quiet and observant man whose presence brought comfort to those around him. He possessed a gentle wisdom, a kind spirit, and a heart that was always open to family and friends. He valued peace, avoided unnecessary conflict, and approached life with patience and understanding. He had a unique sense of humor and a gift for storytelling. Often, he would begin laughing before reaching the punchline of a joke, causing everyone around him to laugh right along with him.
He will be remembered for his love of music, positivity, wisdom, sense of style, and generous heart. Above all, he will be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends and for the genuine care he showed to those fortunate enough to know him.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved son, Davian Jordan; his siblings, Brian Jordan, Michael Jordan, Pamela Jordan, and Colleen Jordan; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Leona Jordan, and his older brother, Darrel Jordan.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all of Mark's family and friends for their love, prayers, and support, as well as to Nathan Adelson Hospice for the compassion and care shown during his final days.
Though the music has quieted, the melodies Mark shared, the laughter he inspired, and the love he gave will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Palm Downtown Mortuary & Cemetery, 1325 N. Main Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101, on Wednesday June 24, 2026 at 1 p.m.
