Obituary for Marquette D. (Dena) Bailey-Samuel Sunrise March 21, 1964 - Sunset January 24, 2024 Marquette Deneen (Dena) Bailey-Samuel passed away peacefully on Jan 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 59. Born in Los Angeles, CA on March 21, 1964, Marquette was the daughter of the late Lionel Bailey and Nelda (Walton) Bailey-Sherron. Growing up, Marquette was an inquisitive child, possessed a photographic memory and excelled at academics. She liked to sing, dance, and entertain and was a dedicated and fun-loving individual, bringing compassion, love, and joy to all who were around her. She touched many hearts while she was with us. Marquette was a hardworking person. Although she spent a brief time in the military (Army) and cherished her work in the Health Care Industry, Marquette really enjoyed being a manager for the Rebel Oil Company. She was the epitome of Rebel's vision of a rebellious spirit and commitment to excellence. Aligned with Rebel's corporate vision Marquette was 'community-centered, value-oriented, and most importantly, steadfast in serving customers just as they are, no more, no less.' Marquette was well-liked and revered by her employees, customers and the Rebel executive management, winning many awards and accolades for her tireless work and extraordinary performance and leadership. Marquette was preceded in death by her parents Lionel and Nelda, and her sisters, DeSheilah and Trina. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Lyle Samuel, her children, Morris Brinker II, Lyrena Samuel, her sisters, Venetia Bailey-Bristow (Harry), Daphne Bailey-Townsend (Dorian), and Krista Bailey-Hazelton (Cisco). She is survived by her granddaughter, Aries, and an extensive list of nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends who are like family. We will all miss her greatly. Rest in peace, our Angel. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 23, 2024 at Alliance Point, 565 Marks St Ste 190, Henderson, Nv 89014 from 2-6pm.
