December 17, 2024, Michele Cahill passed away at the age of 71 in Henderson, Nevada following a 9 year battle with breast cancer. Michele was the youngest of two daughters born to William and Eleanor Manis, March 16, 1953 in Torrance, CA. Michele graduated from Bishop Montgomery in 1971 and attended El Camino College before becoming a buyer for Thrifty's, owning a business and becoming a longshoreman. She was married to John Cahill in 1987 and spent 32 loving years with him unRl his passing in 2019. Michele loved going to ball games and concerts, going to the beach with friends, skiing, off-roading and boating which led to the purchase of a vacation home on the river in Arizona. Although Michele made South Bay home her entire life, her family made many special memories in Arizona. She is survived by her daughters Chelsea Hodges and Emily Vigil; her son-in-law's Josh and Trent; her grandchildren Wyatt (2 years) and Abby (6 weeks); nephew David and niece Racheal; as well as many life-long friends from high school, college and the docks. She is proceeded in death by her husband John and sister Mary. Celebrations of life services will be January 17, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church in Redondo Beach. Michele spent the last days of her life in Henderson, Nevada celebrating the birth of her new granddaughter and surrounded by loved ones. She will be deeply missed.
