It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Michelle Renee Hasenauer, age 51, on November 21, 2024. She was a beloved mother, sister, friend, and wife, whose warmth, kindness, and strength touched the lives of all who knew her.
Michelle spent the first 33 years of her life in Ohio, rarely traveling out of state except to visit loved ones. In 2006, she took a bold leap, moving her immediate family to California. After three years, she relocated to Utah, where she married Michael. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures, living in South Korea, Alabama, Arkansas, and Las Vegas along the way.
Michelle was a fighter-in love, in family, and in life. In July 2014, she was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer. For 10 years, she faced the relentless challenges of ongoing treatments with courage and determination. Despite the pain and setbacks, including metastasized brain cancer, ovarian cancer, inner ear problems, and rotator cuff surgery, Michelle met each battle head-on, fighting every step of the way. Ultimately, she succumbed to cancer when it spread to her spine and affected her mobility. Her tenacity and spirit throughout her journey were nothing short of inspiring.
Above all else, Michelle was devoted to her children. She cherished every moment spent with Ashely, Alesha, Josh, Milenna, Joseph, Justin, Austin, and Ayden. Her friends and family will always remember her for her boundless generosity, unwavering support, and fierce spirit.
Michelle is survived by her mother, Beverly Bynum (Bensonhaver); her brothers, Billy Ray and Todd Allen; her children, Ashely Nichole, Alesha Lynn, Joshua Lee, Justin Robert, and Austin Michael; her grandchildren, Ayden, Nevaeh, Andrew, and James; her husband, Michael; and a wide but close circle of friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Ray Crosby.
Her light will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. "O-H"
