Penelope Ann Stowe (Penny), age 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Penny was born on July 23, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Marie Prendergast (Waite) and Mathias Prendergast. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Nancy Peak and Dorothy Roberts; her brothers, Edward Roberts and Richard Roberts; and her beloved grandson, Dylan Randall. She graduated from Cleveland State University in 1969 and went on to build a successful career as an Accountant and SEC Filing Expert, retiring in 2007. Penny was admired for her intelligence, dedication, and strong work ethic throughout her professional life. On December 1, 1972, Penny married the love of her life, Andrew A. Stowe, in Monroe, Michigan. Together they built a loving family and shared more than five decades of marriage. Penny had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. She especially loved horses, gardening, and spending time at the slot machines, pursuits that brought her both joy and relaxation. She is survived by her devoted husband, Andrew A. Stowe; her children, Tina Jones (Christopher), Andrew Stowe Jr., and Marie Wiebeld (Patrick); son-in-law Christopher Woody; grandchildren Courtney Woody (Austin Ladd), Andrea Stowe, Jessica Woody, Emily Woody, and Deja Stowe-Laney (Sean); and several cherished great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, located at 8200 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89117. Penny will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the love she gave so generously to her family and friends.
