In Loving Memory of Ravi Chandra
November 17, 1958 – June 21, 2026
Ravi Chandra, age 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Born on November 17, 1958, in the Fiji Islands, Ravi was the beloved son of Ram Dayal and Indar Mati. He grew up in a large and loving family as one of fourteen children, sharing his childhood with thirteen brothers and sisters. The bonds formed during those early years remained an important part of his life and shaped the values of family, loyalty, and love that he carried with him throughout his years.
Ravi was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy came from the people he loved. He shared a loving marriage with his wife, Reeta Chandra, and together they built a family rooted in care, strength, and dedication.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Reeta Chandra; his sons, Robin Chandra and his wife, Jasmine Payal Chandra, and Rahul Chandra; and his cherished granddaughter, Anjali Chandra. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, extended family members, and many friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and presence.
Ravi was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Arti Chandra (April 19, 1981 – January 6, 2004), whose memory he carried in his heart every day.
Those who knew Ravi will remember his unwavering devotion to his family, his generous spirit, and the strength and guidance he offered to those around him. He was a source of comfort and stability, always willing to lend a helping hand, share a laugh, or offer words of encouragement. His legacy lives on through the family he loved and the values he instilled in them.
Though his physical presence is gone, his love, wisdom, and example will remain with all who were fortunate enough to know him.
In Honor of Ravi Chandra
The cornerstone of all we knew,
The steady hand, the guiding light,
A husband's vow of endless love,
A father's shield against the night.
A brother's laughter in the yard,
The shared beginnings of the past,
A bond of blood and childhood days,
That holds us tight until the last.
A son who made his parents proud,
A boy who grew into a man,
The legacy of love he brought,
Back to where his life began.
Though empty is his favored chair,
And quiet is the room he knew,
The four great roles he lived so well,
Live on in everything we do.
