Obituary

Sunrise: December 24, 1948 - Sunset: February 14, 2026 With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Renee Williams-Woodson, who entered eternal rest on February 14, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 77. Renee was born on December 24, 1948, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Walter Williams Sr. and Mildred Williams. Renee met and married her high school sweetheart, Stanley Woodson Sr., and together they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Through Stanley's military service, their journey took them across the world before eventually settling in Oxnard, California. There, Renee became the heart and backbone of her family, devoting her life to raising her children and nurturing generations to come. A faithful servant of the Lord, Renee was an active member of Evangelistic Missionary Baptist Church in Port Hueneme, California, where she served on the usher board, supported the food pantry, and participated in the sisterhood ministry. She also established a remarkable professional career during her tenure at Kinkos corporate office, where she served in a managerial capacity for over ten years. Renee was known for her sharp wit, wisdom, and vibrant personality. She loved bowling and was a proud member of a bowling league for many years. She was the family's historian, and a fiery, fun-loving presence who brought joy, laughter, and truth wherever she went. Renee's greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and matriarch who poured her love into those she cherished. Renee leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Stanley Woodson Jr. (Amanda); her cherished grandchildren, Nicole Renee Simmons, Joshua Woodson, Tyler Woodson, Tyler Goodman, Haley Goodman, and Sean Woodson; her siblings Walter Williams Jr. (Roberta) and Francine Ward (Gregory); and a host of nieces, nephews, family, her dear friend Laura Flowers and many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Stanley Woodson Sr.; her beloved children Curtis Woodson and Yvette Woodson; her siblings, Mark Williams, Joyce Ford, and Millard Williams (Deborah), and her parents Walter Williams Sr. and Mildred Williams. Renee's legacy of love, strength, faith, and unwavering devotion will live on in all who knew and loved her.
